Tyrebagger Wood

A mature woodland comprising a mix of coniferous and broad-leaved trees, a mature forest with firs, larch, spruce, pine and a mixture of broad-leaved trees Tyrebagger Wood lies 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Blackburn and a similar distance southwest of Aberdeen Airport. A set of sculptures began to be installed here by Forest Enterprise in 1994 and by 1999 these had extended onto Elrick Hill to the south. The sculpture park is now managed by the Tyrebagger Trust and, by 2003, comprised twenty sculptures.

The unusual name may derive from Gaelic meaning the "place of the fox".
