Ernespie Stone CircleStanding Stones at Ernespie

Only two stones remain standing of the Ernespie Stone Circle, located in a field 200m (218 yards) southwest of the Urr Valley Hotel and a half-mile (1 km) northeast of Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway. The stones stand 1.4m (4½ feet) high and are 2m (7 feet) apart. Where the other stones were located is not clear.
