Springburn Leisure Centre and Library

Located on Kay Street in the Springburn district of Glasgow, the Springburn Leisure Centre reopened in 2003 following a £1.9 million refurbishment. Run by Glasgow Council, the centre includes a 25-m (27-yard) swimming pool, fitness suite, health suite, dance studio, sports hall and play area. The health suite features a spa, sauna, steam room and saunarium, whilst the fitness suite includes a 35-station gym and weight room.

The centre also houses Springburn Library and Learning Centre, which includes a local history section and small museum, known as Springburn Museum. The former library and museum building on Atlas Road was the gift of steel magnate Andrew Carnegie (1835 - 1918) but closed in 2003, its centenary year, due to the poor condition of the building.
