Doon Hill

A hill at the eastern end of the Lammermuirs, Doon Hill rises steeply to 177m (580 feet) a half-mile (1 km) east of Spott and 2 miles (3 km) south southeast of Dunbar. The foundations of an ancient feasting hall can be seen to the east of the summit. General David Leslie's Scottish army descended from here to take on Cromwell at the Battle of Dunbar in 1650.
