Holm of Houton

An uninhabited island off the southern coast of the Orkney Mainland, the Holm of Houton lies across the entrance of the Bay of Houton, 2½ miles (4 km) southwest of Orphir. It rises to only 11m (36 feet) above sea level and is connected to the shore at low tide.
