Bayview Stadium

A modern football stadium located at Harbour View, Methil, the Bayview Stadium is home to East Fife Football Club. Opened in 1998 on part of the former No.3 dock in Methil Harbour, behind Methil Power Station, the stadium seats 2000 in a single northeast-facing grandstand.

East Fife FC was formed in Methil in 1903. The team were defeated by Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final in 1927 but won the Cup in 1938. In the decade following the Second World War, the Club found themselves promoted to the First Division. They won the League Cup three times and played in a third Scottish Cup Final. The stadium was originally located in Upper Methil, off Kirkland Road next to Aberhill Primary School.
