SwithaThe tiny 41 ha (101 acre) island of Switha lies in the shadow of Flotta and South Walls in the southern approaches to Scapa Flow in the Orkney Isles. Sheep are grazed on the island, but there is little evidence of human settlement except for two standing stones and a cairn dating from Neolithic times. Its southernmost point is called The Ool and in the southwest is a shallow cove known as The Pool.
