Grimbister, Holm of
A small flat-lying island in the Bay of Firth (Orkney), the Holm of Grimbister lies a half-mile (1 km) northeast of Grimbister and 4 miles (6.5 km) northwest of Kirkwall. The island rises to only 8m (26 feet). It is farmed and is connected to the Orkney mainland at low tide. The similarly-sized island of Damsay lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the northeast.
