A summit lying to the east of Ewesdale in E Dumfries and Galloway, Muckle Knowe rises to 361m (1184 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) northeast of Langholm. Terrona Hill (325m / 1066 feet) forms the southern shoulder of the hill.
