Jaw Reservoir


(Edinbarnet Reservoir)

A small reservoir impounded by an earth embankment dam in West Dunbartonshire, Jaw Reservoir (also referred to as Edinbarnet Reservoir) lies next to Cochno Loch, 3 miles (5 km) north of Clydebank and 3¾ miles (6 km) west northwest of Milngavie. Opened in 1887, it covers an area of 17.4 ha (42 acres) and is now operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water. A recreational fishery is managed by Hardgate & District Angling Association.
