A summit of E Aberdeenshire, Curlethney Hill rises to 246m (807 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Netherley and 5 miles (8 km) north northwest of Stonehaven. The more imposing Meikle Carewe Hill lies a half-mile (1 km) to the west northwest while the remains of a Roman Camp are located at Raedykes a mile (1 km) to the south.
