An upland tract in NW Aberdeenshire, the Daugh of Invermarkie lies to the north of the A920 road, 1¼ miles (2 km) northwest of the Haugh of Glass and the River Deveron, 6 miles (10 km) east of Dufftown. The unusual word daugh comes from the term davoch which is an old Scots areal unit of land. It appears in place-names exclusively in a small area on the Aberdeenshire-Moray border.
