Firths Voe

An inlet in the Delting district of Shetland, Firths Voe is situated on the northeast coast of the Shetland Mainland between Swinister Voe and Tofts Voe, opening onto the southern end of Yell Sound. The inlet is a mile (1.5 km) in length. The small settlement of Firth lies at its head, with the larger village of Mossbank a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the north.

The 109-mile (175-km) Brent pipeline comes ashore here en route to the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal. This 36-inch (0.9-m) diameter pipeline was laid in 1976 to bring North Sea oil onshore for onward distribution by tanker.
