A summit amongst a small range of modest hills located in the centre of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Beinn Chailean (also Beinn Chailein) rises to 231m (757 feet) to the north of the Pentland Road, a mile (1.5 km) south southwest of Beinn Mholach and 5½ miles (9 km) west northwest of Stornoway.
