A stream which rises close to the former Benhar Colliery, in the Fauldhouse Hills, not far from the source of the South Calder Water, the Leadloch Burn flows southeast for a mile (1.5 km) becoming a headstream of the Breich Water a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southeast of East Badallan. It forms the boundary between North Lanarkshire and West Lothian for the entirety of its course.
