Springwood Hall

A modern exhibition and conference centre located in the middle of the Border Union Showground on the west bank of the River Tweed opposite Kelso, the Springwood Hall was officially opened on 25th July 2003 by HRH The Princess Royal. Built in yellow concrete blockwork, detailed in green, and with a sheet-metal roof, it was designed by Roger G. Dodd and Company, with the main contractor being John Laidlaw & Son Ltd of Jedburgh.

The hall has a usable area of 1000 sq. m (10,764 sq. feet) and can be divided by curtains. It has been successfully used for trade shows, conferences, fairs, concerts, weddings, balls and award nights. It has also hosted the graduation ceremony for the Borders College. Facilities include a separate meeting room and a large fully-fitted kitchen.
