Glen Mallan

A valley on the eastern shore of Loch Long in Argyll and Bute, Glen Mallan extends to the northeast of a settlement of the same name, a mile (1.5 km) northeast of the Finnart Ocean Terminal and 3 miles (5 km) north northeast of Garelochhead. Only ¾ mile (1.25 km) in length, the valley connects with Gleann Culanach to the northeast. It is forested and contains the Glenmallan Burn, the West Highland railway line and a pair of high-tension power lines, which convey power from the hydro schemes to the north.
