Ettrickdale

One of the major valleys of the Scottish Borders, Ettrickdale lies between the Yarrow Valley and Teviotdale, extends for 25 miles (40 km) northeast from Ettrickhead on the border with Dumfries and Galloway to Selkirk, with the Ettrick Water falling into the River Tweed 2 miles (3 km) beyond. The other settlements are all minor; Ettrickbridge, Ettrickhill and Ettrick. The main industry of the valley is sheep-farming.
