One of a number of small and shallow lochs on the peninsula of Dunnet Head in N Caithness, the Loch of Easter Head is located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southeast of Easter Head and 2 miles (3 km) north northwest of Brough. It is notable as the most northerly loch on the British mainland. It receives water from the larger Long Loch a short distance to the southwest.
