Cranhill Sensory Garden

Located next to a prominent concrete water tower in the Cranhill district of E Glasgow, the Cranhill Sensory Garden opened in 2004, an initiative of the local community in conjunction with Glasgow City Council. The garden has a nautical theme, with a large map of Britain locating the lighthouses after which the streets of the district are named. The garden also includes a beach with sea-washed pebbles, golden gravel and plant species typical of coast area, together with a talking telescope and information plaques. Cranhill Primary School lies immediately to the south.
