Hoy
(Hoy Island)

A small, rock-trimmed and uninhabited island lying a quarter-mile (0.4 km) west of the finger-like peninsula of Strom Ness on the west of the Shetland Mainland, Hoy rises steeply more than 50m (164 feet) above sea level. The stretch of water between the island and the mainland is known as the Sound of Hoy.
