Ellen's Isle
(Eilean Molach)

A small wooded islet at the eastern end of Loch Katrine, Ellen's Isle or Eilean Molach lies in the shadow of Ben Venue. Often used in the distant past as a refuge by Highland fugitives, it gained a certain romantic appeal after it featured in Sir Walter Scott's 'Lady of the Lake'.
