Bridge of Brodgar

A small bridge in the W of the Orkney Mainland, the Bridge of Brodgar lies immediately to the northwest of the Stones of Stenness and connects the fingers of land which separates the Loch of Stenness and the Loch of Harray. Only a rough track crossed the bridge here in the 1880s, but by the early years of the 20th century it had been formed into a road.
