Slug Head

A steep headland on the North Sea Coast of Aberdeenshire, Slug Head extends into the sea at the southern end of Craigeven Bay, 1½ miles (2.5 km) north of Stonehaven. Slug Head lies just to the south of the Highland Boundary Fault, and comprises ancient sandstones of Silurian age. The ruins St. Mary's Chapel lies at the top of the bluffs.
