Black Hope

A small but steep-sided valley in NE Dumfries and Galloway, Black Hope descends from the southeast slopes of Hart Fell to Capplegill. The valley extends to 2½ miles (4 km) and its sides include several cliff faces and scree slopes. It contains the Blackhope Burn, a tributary of the Moffat Water.
