One of the Kilsyth Hills lying close to the northern border of North Lanarkshire, Cock Hill rises to 344m (1128 feet) within the Carron Valley Forest, a half-mile (1 km) south of the dam at the eastern end of the Carron Valley Reservoir and 3½ miles (5.5 km) north of Kilsyth.
