A summit of NW Angus, Cairn Broadlands rises steeply to 852m (2795 feet) at the head of Glen Clova, a half-mile (0.8 km) east northeast of Craig Mellon and a mile (1.5 km) north northwest of Glendoll Lodge. The Glendoll Forest cloaks its southeastern slopes.
