Old Patrick Water

A small river which rises in the Hartfield Moss on the border of Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, Old Patrick Water forms the boundary between these council areas as it flows northeast to Caplaw Dam and a quarter-mile (0.4 km) beyond before descending north through the Gleniffer Braes. The river then passes through Elderslie and then falls into the Black Cart Water to the northeast of Johnstone, having completed a course of 6 miles (10 km).
