Devil's Point, The

(Bod an Deamhain)

Rising to a height of 1004m (3294 feet) north of Glen Geusachan in Aberdeenshire, The Devil's Point acquired its name after a visit by Queen Victoria. The Devil's Point was offered as an alternative name to the Gaelic name of 'Bod an Deamhain' translated as 'The Devil's Penis' to avoid embarrassment.
