Hill of Lybster

A modest summit on the north coast of Caithness in Highland Council Area, the Hill of Lybster rises to 53m (173 feet) a mile (1.6 km) west northwest of Bridge of Forss. A US Navy communications base was established on its northern slopes in 1975. Following its closure in 1992, the site was redeveloped as the Forss Wind Farm and Forss Business and Technology Park in 2003.
