A headland on the north coast of Sutherland, Aird Torrisdale lies on the western side of Torrisdale Bay and 1½ miles (2.5 km) west northwest of Bettyhill. The settlement of Airdtorrisdale lies on the headland, with Clasheddy, Achtoty and Skerray just behind. Geologically, the area comprises ancient metamorphic rocks shot through by granite intrusions, with two natural arches carved by the sea into the shoreline.
