A rocky headland within Inganess Bay on the northeastern coast of the Orkney Mainland, the Taing of Berstane lies to the south of the Bay of Berstane, a half-mile (0.7 km) east southeast of Berstane and 1½ miles (2.5 km) east of Kirkwall.
