Loch Muick

A loch in the Grampian uplands of Aberdeenshire near the border between Aberdeenshire and Angus, Loch Muick lies at the head of Glen Muick and is largely fed by streams that rise on the White Mounth and Lochnagar. The River Muick flows into it from the west and emerges from its northern end and near to the loch are the royal shooting lodges of Glasallt-Shiel (1862) and Allt-na-Guibhsaich (1849).
