Soulseat Loch

A loch at the entrance to the Rhins of Galloway, Soulseat (also Saulseat) Loch lies 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Stranraer. Extending to 28 ha (69 acres), it is joined to the Piltanton Burn to the south by the Soulseat Burn. A Premonstratensian abbey was built on a promontory in 1148.
