Loch Badanloch

(Loch Badenloch)

Together with Loch nan Clar and Loch Rimsdale, Loch Badanloch forms a body of water which serves as a reservoir that maintains the level of the Helmsdale River in E Sutherland to benefit its salmon fishery. Loch Badanloch (also Loch Badenloch) represents the easternmost of these three lochs and lies 5½ miles (9 km) west northwest of Kinbrace. Badanloch Lodge and Badanloch Forest lie to the east.
