Chuirn, Stac a'
(Stac a' Chùirn)

A craggy subsidiary summit of Beinn Bhuidhe, lying a mile (1.5 km) to the west southwest on the same ridge, Stac a' Chuirn rises to 870m (2854 feet) a half-mile (1 km) north of the Brannie Burn and 2 miles (3 km) south of Lochan Shira. Water from the numerous streams which fall from its northern and southern slopes is abstracted from the Brannie Burn and Allt an t-Sithein for the Glen Shira Hydro Electric Scheme.
