Duncryne

(Duncryne Hill)

A distinctive pimple of a hill in the E of West Dunbartonshire, not far from the border with Stirling, Duncryne (or Duncryne Hill) rises to 142m (465 feet) a half-mile (0.8 km) east southeast of Gartocharn and 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Balloch. Marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar, the summit provides views northwest over Loch Lomond, while its lower slopes are wooded.
