Pettylung

Forming a northwestern shoulder of Black Hill, one the Lowther Hills of NE Dumfries and Galloway, Pettylung rises to 463m (1519 feet) to the south of the Dalveen Pass, 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Durisdeer. Two prominent rock outcrops on the northern slopes of Pettylung are known as Samson and his Wife.
