A modest summit on the east coast of Caithness, the Hill of Ulbster rises to 107m / 351 feet, a mile (1.8 km) north northeast of Ulbster and a similar distance southwest of Sarclet. There is an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar on the top. A decoy airfield was build during the Second World War on moorland to the northeast, intended to divert enemy attacks from nearby RAF Wick, now the site of Wick Airport.
