Voshimid, Loch
(Loch Boisimid, Loch Bhoisimid)

Loch Voshimid (Gael: Loch Boisimid or Bhoisimid) lies at the entrance to Glen Stuladale, in North Harris, 2½ miles (4 km) south of the head of Loch Resort, to which it is connected by Abhainn Mhor Ceann Resort. It is said that an island in the loch provided J.M. Barrie (1860 - 1937) with the inspiration for his play The Story of Mary Rose while he was fishing here when a house-guest at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle c.1920.
