Sgurr Thormaid
(Norman's Peak, Sgùrr Thormaid)

Sgurr Thormaid (or Norman's Peak) on the Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye rises to a height of 926m (3038 feet) perfectly positioned to view the western ridge leading to the summit of Sgurr nan Gobhar 1¼ miles (2 km) away. It is named for J. Norman Collie (1859 - 1942), a pioneering mountaineer who explored new routes in the Cuillin.
