Ythan Estuary

A river in Aberdeenshire, the Ythan rises in the Wells of Ythan, 7 miles (11 km) east of Huntly. It flows east to Bruckhills, northeast to Mains of Towie and then south to Fyvie from where it meanders generally southeastwards to Ellon. It continues south before entering the North Sea at Newburgh Bar, 12 miles (19 km) north of Aberdeen.
