A grassy rocky summit at the northern end of an elongated ridge, which is centred on Beinn Mheadhonach in N Perth and Kinross. Carn a' Chiaraidh rises to a height of 860m (2821 feet) with a small cairn at its top, which is located 1½ miles (2.5 km) south of Loch Mhairc and a similar distance east of Beinn Dearg.
