A summit in the E of the Central Mainland of Shetland, South Staney Hill rises to 128m (419 feet) to the west of Clickimin Loch and the northeast of Sandy Loch Reservoir, 1¼ miles (2 km) west of the centre of Lerwick. The remains of two large brick-and-concrete military structures lie close to the summit. The eastern slopes of the hill have been proposed as a new site for Anderson High School.
