A stream in East Lothian, the Peffer Burn rises in ponds 3 miles (5 km) south of North Berwick. Flowing westwards for 5½ miles (9 km), it receives the Mill Burn a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Fenton Barns, and another Mill Burn a similar distance south of Gullane, before emptying into Aberlady Bay at Luffness. Its channel can be seen to continue through the shallow bay at low tide, close to its southern shore. Another Peffer Burn flows northeastwards 2 miles (3 km) to the south.
