Hopes WaterA river descending from the Lammermuir Hills of East Lothian, Hopes Water rises to the southeast of Lammer Law before passing through the Hopes Reservoir and flowing northward. It joins the Gifford Water at a point a mile (1.5 km) southeast of the settlement of Gifford.
