A river in N Caithness, the Forss Water emerges from Loch Shurrery, 6 miles (10 km) west southwest of Halkirk. It flows north, collecting the Allt Forsiescye and, at Westfield, the Alltan Ghuinne - which drains from Loch Calder. It then continues past Bridge of Forss to fall into the sea at Crosskirk Bay.
