Strathmore River
(River Hope; Abhainn nan Strath Mor)

A river of NW Sutherland, the Strathmore River (Gael: Abhainn nan Strath Mor, also known as the River Hope) occupies the valley of Strath More to the south of Loch Hope into which the river empties. The river forms has two main tributaries; namely the Glen Golly River and Abhainn Srath Coir an Easaidh, but receives numerous other streams along its course of 6 miles (10 km).
