Allt Dearg

Rising in the northern foothills of Cran Dubh Mhor, the Allt Dearg flows in a northeasterly direction for 7 miles (11 km). It passes over a series of waterfalls, between the Dallaschyle and Cawdor Forests and through the village of Cawdor, before joining the River Nairn, a half-mile (1 km) north of Cawdor. Cawdor Castle overlooks the river.
