A tiny lochan in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Drumnescat Loch lies within plantation woodland a half-mile (1 km) west of Chilcarroch and ¾ mile (1.2 km) northeast of Elrig Loch. It receives drainage ditches from the Flow of Derrie and Flow of Elrig, and is the source of the Drumnescat Burn.
